Excerpts from Recent Lectures and Guidance

October 14, 2012: Lecture by Keiko Takahashi in Nagoya
(Broadcasted to Sapporo, Saitama, Okayama, Fukuoka, and Miyazaki)

Let us think about the various problems that occur before us. If we perceive problems or incidents from a superficial level of our mind-heart, we are bound to consider the situation as a mere coincidence – as something that has no relation to us and as something that just happened to occur.
In such a state, we are prone to have the following thoughts:
It could have been anyone, but I‘ve coincidentally been made responsible.
This is not my line of work. I just happened to be asked to do this. I am only doing this because I was forced.
Whatever the results, it’s not my concern.
As a result, we end up believing that it was not our choice and that the situation merely happened and, therefore, it is beyond our control.
In other words, when we grasp reality only with the surface of our mind-heart, we are only able to perceive situations as something that happened by chance.
On the other hand, what do you think would happen if we were able to comprehend reality based on the dimension of our soul, which lies deep within our mind-heart?
In doing so, we will be able to confirm for ourselves a definitive change in the relationship between ourselves and our situations.
