Excerpts from Recent Lectures and Guidance
October 28, 2012: Lecture by Keiko Takahashi in Osaka
(Broadcasted to Fukushima and Toyama )
We have examined how possibilities and limitations form reality.
On the other hand, what would happen if our minds and hearts were filled with distress or discontentment? What would occur if our hearts were filled with anger or an unforgiveable past?
This state of mind would act as a lens that perceives only limitations in reality and that cannot see any possibilities. Thus, only limitations are visible to us and we would not be able to see possibilities even though they exist. What happens next? In our attempt to solve problems under conditions in which only problems and limitations are visible to us, we would interpret the endless problems as evidence that our problems are insoluble. We would foster the belief that these limitations are signs telling us to give up on solving the problems.
On the other hand, what would happen if we were to acquire lenses that enabled us to see possibilities? In perceiving the same situation through those lenses, we will see a ray of hope and a path of possibilities that extends beyond, even though we may be on a tough and difficult road. As a result of perceiving possibilities, we will be able to pave ways to new realities. We will discover this if we cultivate this power in our minds and hearts.
