Excerpts from Recent Lectures and Guidance
November 24, 2013: NexStage Series Seminar (Tokyo Prince Hotel)
In this way, we have built an era of expansion based on the pleasure-seeking principle. What kind of principles, then, should we set at the base of our mind as we create the next era and the next stage of growth of human beings?
I believe that it is the doctrine of the soul.
The doctrine of the soul is based on the perspective that “each and every human being was born harboring his or her purpose and mission in life. No one is born by accident.”
The doctrine of the soul urges us to return to the origin of our existence and to redefine the meaning of our lives, at work, in day-to-day existence, and in all other activities, and to begin the practice for fulfilling our purpose and mission in life. What is important in the doctrine of the soul is that each and every individual advances the practice of the purpose and mission in life. Not even a single person should be left behind nor should exceptions be made.
I have come up with a symbolic image that represents my vision for our next era in which everyone can attain enlightenment; and that will be a “new era of all people doing their personal best.” The era that expands beyond the era of expansion is one in which “all people do their personal best” based on the doctrine of the soul.
